Subject Oriented

"Photography is a lot like cooking or doing the Programming C.  Easy to learn but difficult to master.  Photography is subject oriented and there are so much subjects and their environments, to learn.  Hope we all having fun with photography"

[ Rabani HM Ayub ]

Ameera with Kiko

Kiko and Koko were two sweet and cute kittens bought from Gaya Street and loved so dearly by Ameera, Shahelmey, Jehan and Inda.  Those kittens were abandoned by their owner and sold by cat seller at Gaya Tamu for a very low price which she intended just to find another owner of those kittens.  Koko was sold for RM10 which paid by Inda with her own money and Kiko was given for free because the seller was touched by the kids enthusiastism towards them.  Koko was a very active kitten while Kiko was quite shy and always sleepy.  Both were so cute and it was entertaining watching the kids playing with them everyday.  However, on the night where I was rushed to the hospital due to contraction, Kiko was found dead the next morning and Koko a day later.  Such a grieving moment for the kids but was enlighted with the arrival of a new member of our family, Adam Danial.

Life and Death are totaly Allah's will.  We should remember our promises to HIM while in our mother's womb before coming to this world....

The Flow

Motion of the river towards the open arm of the sea
Mixed of dance choreograph by the river bed of dream
The silent echo of hush breaking the stillness of the air
Unheard by members of the life
Unseen by universe but felt deep within
Shining of the smiling sun blocking tears of the rain
Hiding moments of halted time and frozen space
Wishing for strength from the vaccum of soul
Keep on fighting to control the river flow
Without realising the key is not
To let it snow but
To Let It Flow....

SMK Datuk Peter Mojuntin

My first school and my first posting to this school was in 2002. At that time SMKDPM just received his new principal after many years of being without principal.

I Miss My Camera

Its been a long time since I went outing. Lets see, the last time I remembered is... really I dont remember at all.  What I mean is a serious outing of potraiture or landscaping or even wedding.  What I have is a snap here and there using my point and shoot compact camera.  However I do of course, have newborn and kids photography with my baby, Adam. :)

"Shoot things interested around you and create a story out of it."   There you go, no excuses as I remember the late sifu Rabani said to me.

I have this small garden at the back of my house where my parents and I planted a vegetable called "Petola", the type where we can make washing sponge out of it when dried which is called "Loofah".  I am going to documented that soon.  So this plants had grown healthy with big leaf and flowers.  And now it is attracting bees, insects, and more bugs.  Therefore I have a new playground now with unsuspected models which arrived every morning.  So....still No Excuses.. :))

The problem is which is not a problem actually is I could not find my camera's charger... oh my.. hahaha

And here it is a love triangle drama under the glory of morning sun. :)

See and Deliver

Sometimes the original 'Straight Out Of Camera' itself is beautiful enough to deliver its own message.  In this  infrared image, no channel mixer are done in PS. Just play around with basic tools to improve details, lighting and tones to extract the feeling of the partly lighted leaf.  Bluish image is produced when White white balance is used for this infrared image.

But however, sometimes it depends on your mood while viewing the IR artwork.  Image above is a cooked IR image through the channel swap and selective colors tools to produce the sweet young banana leaf color. Then again, it always up to your choice.

the more powerful the photo, the less it makes viewers think about photographic technique, and the more viewers tend to think of the subject matter, with technique forgotten.
