Mood in Brunei

Location : Brunei Waterfront, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam

People and boats setting mood in one afternoon...

Brunei Tamu and Speedboat

Location : Tamu Kianggeh, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam

Tamu Kianggeh is a market on the right side frame of these photos. The river connected to the sea is used by the speedboat as a main transport to Kampung Ayer of Brunei. These speedboats will take you on tour for 20Bnd.

The first time I saw these scenery, it looked like little venice of Brunei...:)

Masjid Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin

Location : Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam

A gorgeous mosque even though built in 1958 with white and golden theme...and a real made of gold dome...The mosque not quite large as mosque usually built today but something about the mosque that made you feel humble, simple and focus.

However the main problem for muslimah to pray is no special close area for women to take wudhu'. May be, because it was designed in 1958 and around that time it was not usual for women to perform solah in mosque and they were quite 'indoor'....:)

The first photo below taken just right before heavy rain. The dark cloud gave eerie perception to the whole concept but I simply loved it.

Panoramic view of Masjid Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin stitched from 12 shots...

From different angle...

A wudhu' area...

White and golden colour at day and royal yellow colour at night!...Another awesome view...hopefully next time I can take photos of these mosque early in the morning and during sunset...should be marvelleous..!

and how i love this spot, nice lighting through the white cement...

Brunei Waterfront

Location : Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam

A great place to rest and enjoying the view, smelling the sea with the sound of 'water taxis' or 'bot penambang' passing by...

In this photo below, we can see Kampung Ayer in front...

Waterfront in slow shutter...

Golden Mosque of Brunei

Location : Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam

Jame' Asri Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque really looks great at night with its golden and shining light. You can feel its magnificient aura built into each structure. You will be impressed by its beautiful architecture, huge and spacious area.

Its a pity I arrived at the mosque quite late to capture sunset and blue hour as a background for this wonderful mosque. Wish I had more time and transport of course to get to this place on time. Next time may be...InsyaAllah...

love the stair and the ceiling...nice for wedding potraits..:D

Strike and Defense

Location : Dewan Saadah, Wisma Muis, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia

The original plan is to freeze the action but it turned out nicely blurred. So it seemed blurred does not mean that it is wrong but shows the action, fast and furious...( excuse?)

Well I like it....

Mount Kinabalu

Location : Kem Bina Negara, Kundasang, Sabah, Malaysia

Just saw great sun rays between branches of trees in the thick morning mist when I was driving on my way to KBN Kundasang last Saturday. I couldnt stop because the road was so narrow and nowhere to stop added to the fact that I had to be at my destination before 8.00 o'clock. It sure was really a breathtaking view and I wish I could stay here for a few days just to capture the mist and mountains. Well, I will see...

These pictures were taken in the morning where we can still see a razor sharp of Kinabalu Mountain. This is one of my dreams which still not come conquer Kinabalu Mountain. Hopefuly the planned mountain climbing program at the end of this year will be successful...

the more powerful the photo, the less it makes viewers think about photographic technique, and the more viewers tend to think of the subject matter, with technique forgotten.
